Big Vision. Bold Execution.
What We Make:
Breakthrough cordless medical devices built around a revolutionary battery ecosystem whereby one battery supports multiple instruments–all designed to become the natural extension of a surgeon’s or combat medic’s hand.
Precision. Anywhere.
Fulmer is bringing hand-held, battery powered instruments into the OR, and next to the battlefield. We are developing meticulously crafted, affordable, next generation technology, made easier to use through exceptional design and engineering. Fulmer is creating devices for those who require the best.
Why It Matters:
Operating rooms worldwide still rely on outdated, corded instruments that tangle, limit precision, and introduce avoidable risks. Furthermore, uncontrolled hemorrhage represents a leading cause of young adult and preventable battlefield deaths. Fulmer’s engineering and advanced medical devices will soon begin to address these universal problems that have long been tolerated—until now.
Where We Are Today:
We have an operational prototype currently in pre-clinical development in preparation for our 510(k) submission.

Our Company
Fulmer Instruments is a medical device company that combines leading innovations in electrical, mechanical and industrial design with extensive end user expertise to create solutions designed to enhance patient care and help improve surgical team performance while reducing cost to the system.
We are growing in Alabama, where our founders have deep roots, to tap into the region’s strengths in medical research, engineering talent, student pipeline, and contract manufacturing—while reinforcing our commitment to American manufacturing.
Our first instruments are designed to solve universal problems in the surgical environment: the mess, danger, and inefficiency of cords. Our first product, the Fulmer F1, is an electrocautery instrument designed to intuitively seat into the surgeon’s hand. Future devices are in the works all designed and engineered to simplify the operating room environment while sharing the same innovative battery platform.
In a world where every second matters and every decision counts, Fulmer Instruments are designed and engineered by those who know, feel and understand the difference.
